Hato Cave Tour

A knowledgeable guide will lead you through the cave. But in order to reach the entrance of the Hato Cave, you’ll need to walk up 49 steps. This may sound like quite a few steps, but once upstairs you will be rewarded with a Caribbean breeze and a beautiful panoramic view of the park and the airport runway. Once inside the cave, the approx. 45 minute tour starts. Your guide will give information on the history and cultural significance of the cave, point out to creative formations, stalactites and stalagmites to tell the imaginative stories behind them; some take on shapes and are called the Sleeping Giant and Mother Maria. You will also be impressed by a romantic pool and a colony of rare bats hanging from the ceiling.
